Hi there, I’m Katherine (or Katy!), the founder behind Juniper Cottage Co.

I began this little venture during a time when I was searching for a creative outlet to quiet my anxious mind; something warm and grounding, something that felt like making tiny pockets of magic with my own hands. Candle-making became a place where I could slow down, breathe, and create beautiful, wholesome things that felt a little hobbity, a little nostalgic, and very true to who I am. I'm also an author, and I knew I wanted to build a life centred on whimsy, with time to create, write and share beautiful things that people like you, dear reader, could have in their homes to bring a little comfort and warmth to every day.

While Juniper Cottage Co. began as my personal sanctuary, it has since grown into a small and lovely collective. My husband, Arron, is a talented blacksmith and I'll often sit by the warmth of his forge whilst he crafts beautiful items, and he's also my biggest supporter. As an autistic person, it can be difficult to find a path through the chaos that is my brain, but he's always right there with the torch, lighting up the possibilities ahead. Alongside mine and Arron's work, you’ll also find pieces crafted by talented makers and contributors who share the same love for thoughtful, hand-made creations. Together, we bring a blend of styles and stories, all woven with care and intention.
